Session 1C - Self Care for Teachers Who Educate Traumatized Students

Education is a helping profession and many have heard the terms compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burnout often associated with helping professions. While focusing on individual staff self-care is critical, the school-wide culture also needs to reflect the value of self-care. This session will provide participants with individual self-care strategies as well as discuss systems and data to support developing a culture to promote compassion resilience among staff.
