POSITIVE EXPOSURE, founded in 1998, utilizes the arts, film and narratives to present the humanity and dignity of individuals living with genetic, physical, behavioral and intellectual differences.
POSITIVE EXPOSURE celebrates the beauty of human diversity, inclusive of ethnicity, religion, age, ability, learning style, gender expression and sexual orientation.
For more than 20 years, POSITIVE EXPOSURE has collaborated globally with nonprofit organizations, hospitals, medical schools, educational institutions, advocacy groups and communities to promote a more inclusive and compassionate world where ALL differences are understood, embraced and celebrated.
POSITIVE EXPOSURE has significantly impacted the field of human rights, mental health, medicine, and education by providing new opportunities to see each individual as a human being and valued member of our society.
In June 1998, POSITIVE EXPOSURE was featured in LIFEMagazine as the cover story entitled, Redefining Beauty.
In collaboration with the Genetic Alliance and the National Human Genome Research Institute, POSITIVE EXPOSURE premiered a photographic exhibition for the People’s Genome Celebration at the Smithsonian’s Museum of Natural History in 2001. Since then, POSITIVE EXPOSURE has continued to develop exhibitions, lectures, workshops, educational programs and initiatives.

MoreEducation is a helping profession and many have heard the terms compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burnout often associated with helping professions. While focusing on individual staff self-care is critical, the school-wide culture also needs to reflect the value of self-care. This session will provide participants with individual self-care strategies as well as discuss systems and data to support developing a culture to promote compassion resilience among staff.

MoreThis session will focus on introducing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mix Reality (MR) and how it can be used to build an experiential learning/working environment. We will explore how VR/AR/MR can be used across different fields such as Social-Emotional Learning, Storytelling, Branding, Autism, Human Resources, Safety, and Security training, Career Building and STEM.

MoreThis introductory session will familiarize participants with key security concepts and techniques to safeguard computer-based information. Participants will leave with a basic understanding of encryption, password managers, virtual private networking.
In addition, we will present the how’s and why’s behind Phishing attacks and how to identify scams.

MoreSarah Holland is a Special Assistant with the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning, focusing on Family Engagement. She is the mother of two sons, ages 23 and 12. Sarah has been involved in family support and leadership efforts at both the local and statewide levels. She is a past chair of the State Interagency Coordinating Council and serves on the board of the Arc of Pennsylvania. Sarah has been employed by Parent to Parent of Pa, The Special Kids Network, and has worked as an independent consultant.

MoreIn just one hour, you'll gain a better understanding of the FMLA, learn to eliminate FMLA confusion and explore real-life issues. Users will learn about eligibility requirements, circumstances under which employees qualify for FMLA leave, pay and benefits employees are entitled to while on leave and responsibilities regarding FMLA procedures.
