Notice

Good morning, 

You are registered to attend Day 2 of Dr. Riccomini’s, HIIT (High Intensity Instructional Techniques) series. 

For elementary participants, Day 2 of the series is scheduled for Monday, January 30, 2023. The session is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. 

For middle school/high school participants, Day 2 of the series is scheduled for Monday, February 6, 2023. The session is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. 

We will plan for a 45-minute lunch break. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or pick up your lunch from a local restaurant and bring it back to the IU to eat.  

Additionally, please bring your laptop or tablet to access your district math scope and sequence and math curriculum. Upon receiving the session materials and slide deck from Dr. Riccomini, I will share via email. I will also have hard copies available on the day of the session. 

Please enter the IU through the front entrance, ring the bell and please be prepared to state your name and purpose of the visit. Upon entrance, you will be directed downstairs to the President's Room.

HIIT (HIGH INTENSITY INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES 
Effective elementary, middle, and high school mathematics teachers provide a continuum of instructional supports to help students learn essential mathematical concepts and master new important skills. Additionally, mathematics teachers devote significant efforts and instructional time to make sure students do not forget what they have previously learned, extremely important in the study of mathematics. These intensive and interactive sessions will provide teachers specific strategies for organizing both instruction and students’ studying of material to facilitate learning, remembering, and applying critical mathematical concepts and skills in new situations. 


Audience: Regular Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers, and Administrators are welcome to attend! 

Elementary Sessions will be held on the following dates: 
Session #1 - September 19, 2022 (9:00 - 3:30) 
Session #2 - January 30, 2023 (9:00 - 3:30) 
Session #3 - TBD (To Be Determined) 

Middle School/High School Sessions will be held on the following dates: 
Session #1 - September 22, 2022 (9:00 - 3:30) 
Session #2 -February  6, 2023 (9:00 - 3:30) 
Session #3 - TBD (To Be Determined)

Act 48 Credit is available for this training each session is worth 7 continuing education hours.
