ESL Survival Kit: Administering an ESL Program for Excellence and Compliance
July 20, 2022
The number of English Language (EL) students in public schools is surging, (U.S. Census Bureau); 10.4% of all students in public schools in the United States. Federal and state laws for ELs are as complicated as those for Special Education. Under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and Pennsylvania state law, accountability and compliance for ELs now falls under Title I. Non-compliance with ESL federal and state laws can negatively impact Title I funds, Title III funds, and other federal funding, as well as state funding. This expert training offers the information and knowledge necessary to offer excellent, high quality ESL Programs and maintain Compliance with all state and federal rules, regulations, and laws. The following are included in the training.
