LETRS 3rd Edition Volume 1
September 26, 2023 - May 2, 2024
Notice
Good morning!
I am looking forward to our final Volume session together on May 2, 2024. Our location for our session has changed. We will NOT be at the Juniata College Sill Building. Instead, we will be at the Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center Annex building located at:
13221 Big Valley Pike, Mill Creek, PA 17060
There is a parking lot across the street. You will see the TIU 11 Event sign by the door to enter.
Our day together will begin at 8:30 and end at 3:00. Please bring the following items with you:
- Volume One manual
- a blank file folder
- sticky notes
- Coffee/tea/beverages
There is only one lunch option close by so packing your lunch is preferred. In case you do want to order take-out, here is the website link: (Speck's Deli)
Safe travels. Feel free to dress comfortably!
See you on the 2nd!
Erin
Good morning!
Our Unit 3 Face-2-Face Day will be held at the Juniata College Sill Building on February 27, 2024. We will be on the second floor as we were before!
Due to the long travel for many, we will begin at 9:00 am and will end at 3:00 PM. This may mean that not all slides will be directly addressed but the content will be covered in the online platform.
Please feel free to wear your comfortable gear. I plan on it as well!
Remember to bring along your book, writing utensils, and some post-it notes.
I am looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday! Please contact me if you have any questions. Remember to hop onto the learning platform and try to complete Unit 2!
Have a great day!
Erin
Hi All!
If you want to move forward with receiving CPE Credits for your LETRS work, the cost will be $100.00 for all of Volume One which is all four units. The IU will process the CPE paperwork upon completion. I am in the process of creating a Google Folder for you to upload your Bridge to Practice (B2P) documents for three case study students. I will put the B2P checklist in each Unit folder to assist you. I will also include a journal document to record the Journal entry.
Please email me to confirm your desire to move forward. You will need to have the work completed by the end of the school year. That does include the Online Platform post-test with a score of at least 80%.
If you haven't worked on your online platform in a while, take advantage of the morning delay! haha
Stay warm and safe. Watch our for ice!
Erin
Good morning!
I am sure you are all looking forward to a much-needed break to enjoy time with family and friends. This is just a reminder that we will be joining together for LETRS Unit 2 at the Juniata College SIL Building (across from Sheetz) on November 30,2023. We will be in the same room and our time together will begin at 9:00.
Just a reminder to make sure you have completed the pretest and are making headway through Unit 1.
Dress down is absolutely fine! I am not sure if this room will run hot, cold or just right so layers might be your friend!
I am looking forward to seeing you all on November 30th. You are free to bring your lunch or take advantage of Sheetz or Standing Stone Coffee Company for quick lunch options. Dominoes does deliver and OIP may as well!
Enjoy the holiday with family and friends.
Erin
Good evening,
I called Lexia Learning and also emailed to see what the issue is with the online platform activation. https://letrs.com/sis/client/setup/account
If you could try this link one more time and let me know if you were successful, I would appreciate it. I see all of your names in the system, so I know that they have the names and email addresses.
I really apologize for this hassle!
Erin
Hi All!
Here is some information to get your LETRS online platform set up. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly! Thank you for those of you reaching out to let me know that you did not receive this information.
- To activate, go to LETRS Account Setup.
- You will be directed to enter the email associated with your account (This should be your school email). A secure link will be sent to create your password.
If you have any questions about accessing LETRS, please visit the LETRS Help Center.
Have a great day!
Erin
Hi LETRS Cohort!
I am looking forward to seeing you tomorrow for LETRS Unit 1. We will start at 9:00 at the Juniata College SILL Center at:
419 14th St, Huntingdon, PA 16652
There is parking behind the big brick building (it used to be an elementary school). You will enter the building across from the SHEETZ at the door where you will see the TIU 11 EVENT sign. You will go up the stairs to the second floor and look for the training room.
You will be receiving an email from LEXIA Learning that will give you access to the online learning platform. You will be asked to set up your login and password. You will then take a pretest which usually takes folks 30 minutes. Remember....this is a pretest and NOT ANYTHING to stress about. You will see your own growth over your learning so please do not stress over it. If you have already received the link to register and have time to take the pretest, that is AWESOME! If not, I will ask that you do that ASAP.
Please dress comfortably. I don't know if this room runs cold or warm but layers might be something to think about. Jeans are absolutely fine to wear....be comfortable!
If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to call me. This will go through our new ZOOM phone so I should get it and maybe even a text. 814-542-2501 ext 139
If that doesn't work, my cell is: 814-599-9569
Lunch will be on your own. Sheetz is across the street and the Standing Stone Coffee Company is a few blocks away. You can order ahead and go to pick up your order to save time.
You will receive your LETRS manual tomorrow!
Kindly,
Erin
