For all teacher’s of the Non Public and Public Schools.

         The frustrations teacher often experience dealing with students in their classrooms who just appear to be unchallenged  and unmotivated.  This will address different learning challenges and how to recognize them. 

 

session 2:   "The Ruby Slippers" 12:30-3:00 pm in the President’s room 

For all teacher’s of the Non Public and Public Schools

        Step into the shoes of a person with learning disabilities. What challenges do they face and how do they often feel? This session is a very practical, hands on experience of the frustrating tasks a student with learning disabilities often faces in the classroom.

Session 1:   8:30-11:30 am Reading: The Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching reading (an overview); Structured Literacy; Scientific Word Inquiry (SWI)

 

Session 2:   Classroom Accommodations 12:30-3:00 pm in the President’s room

           This is a practical session on what to do when you have several students in your room with IEPs. We will look at practical things you can do that would benefit all of your students while also addressing the needs of those who struggle.
