Safety Care Initial Training CFSD
August 20, 2024 - October 14, 2024
Notice
Hello!
We are excited to see you Monday, October 14, 2024 for Day 2 of SafetyCare training.
Here are some things to consider:
- We will be training in Chapters 4-7 of Version 7.
- Please bring the manuals that were provided to you during your Day 1 training in August.
- Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move about easily. Items such as lightweight pants/sweatpants, yoga pants, or comfortable jeans work well.
- Wear comfortable athletic shoes (no heels, no crocs-even with a back strap, no sandals, no flip-flops).
To pass a competency, the participant must be able to perform the move without errors and any prompting from the trainer. Participants who do not pass a competency or take a medical restriction will be certified with restrictions.
- There will be an open book test at the end of the training. You must earn 100% to pass and will be allowed to re-do any incorrect questions.
If you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to contact Betsy Cox ecox@tiu11.org or Staci Young syoung@tiu11.org.
Safety-Care is a training program for staff working with children, adolescents, or adults who may exhibit challenging or dangerous behavior. Participants in the course learn a wide variety of prevention skills so that they can each contribute to a physical and social environment that encourages behavior patterns that are positive and safe. Please note that this is an initial training, and not a re-certification. There will be a $7.00 charge for materials and processing.
