Features of Quality Assessments for the STEELS Standards and Assessing Rigorous STEELS Learning for All Students

- Session 2.2 Phenomena, Multiple Dimensions, and Sensemaking

Administrators and school leaders will review the Instructional Leadership for Science Practices’ (ILSP) site and the Science Instruction Companion to the Danielson Framework and Danielson Component 3d: Using Assessment in Instruction (“Look Fors”) to support educators in shifting pedagogy aligned with the STEELS Standards.

A wide range of formative assessments will be reviewed and shared including iterative models, checklists, data analyses, and Claim-Evidence-Reasoning (C-E-R).
